Coach Receives Top Honors and IFA Recognition

A former retail executive is receiving accolades from the franchise community and achieving the American dream as a coach for The Entrepreneur’s Source^®, the nation’s leading career coaching franchise.

Brandon Breath pursued a lifelong goal of business ownership when he exited the corporate world and achieved self-sufficiency as a Career Ownership Coach™ for The Entrepreneur’s Source more than three years ago. By investing in himself and exploring his options, possibilities, and dreams, Breath followed a new path. He continues to set himself apart from his peers by embracing our mission and values, championing his fellow franchisees, and helping us test new initiatives to improve the system.

Brandon Breath Nominated for IFA Award

In addition to his Coach of the Year Award, Breath was nominated for the International Franchise Association’s 2022 Franchisee of the Year Award, which was presented at IFA’s annual conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday, February 28. The award is the highest honor IFA bestows on individual franchise owners. It recognizes leading franchisees who exemplify at least one of IFA’s “Open for Opportunity” core pillars: community, workforce, diversity, equity, inclusion, and veterans.

Last year IFA recognized 57 recipients for being outstanding franchise establishment owner-operators for their contributions to their communities, their employees, and all those they serve.

Charting a New Course

Before embarking on his coaching journey, Breath spent more than 25 years leading teams in the retail industry and helping locations achieve profitability. After a brief stint in healthcare, Breath decided to explore new possibilities to find a role that would fit his lifestyle aspirations.

During a trip to Italy, Breath rediscovered his Italian heritage. Italy’s rich history and culture inspired him to consider putting down roots. He realized he wanted to pursue a flexible role that would allow him to travel and spend time living abroad.

When Breath started exploring the franchise business model, a lightbulb went off. During his retail tenure, he mentored workers and successfully managed teams to help his locations achieve profitability.

“Essentially, I’d been functioning like a business owner however I’ve been executing someone else’s plan my entire career. I worked hard building their business, but I wasn’t doing it for me; I was doing it for someone else. Learning about franchising was the first time I saw a path to self-sufficiency,” Breath said.

Coaching allows him to continue using his mentoring skills to help people determine their skills and how they can use their experience to transition to a better future. Setting his own schedule and working virtually helps Breath move closer to reaching his lifestyle goals.

“I truly do care about the greater good. I am always looking for ways to improve my business, and at the same time, help other coaches improve,” he added.
